The Golden State Warriors recently activated All-Star center Andrew Bogut to an already talented roster that is the surprise team in a tough Western Conference. With a 28-17 record, the Warriors are solidly #5 in the west – and second in the Pacific Division.

This isn’t just a standout year for the Warriors, but San Francisco Bay Area sports teams have been thriving with the Warriors, Giants, and 49ers in particular.

The San Francisco 49ers are headed to the Super Bowl where they have a 5-0 record in the Super Bowl (I’m interested to see how this impacts the San Francisco 49ers betting odds for the game). They’re the only NFL team that is unbeaten in the big game; bringing home the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 1981, 1984, 1988, 1989 and 1994.

This is on the heels of the San Francisco Giants winning the World Series sweeping the Detroit Tigers 4-0 just three months ago. The win was the Giant’s second MLB championship  in three years.

If they can stay healthy, the Golden State Warriors are positioned to make some noise in the playoffs with the likes of Stephen Curry, David Lee, Klay Thompson, and Jarrett Jack, who has been playing out of his mind as of late, leading the way. Things are looking up for the Golden State Warriors.

With the San Francisco Giants as the reigning Major League Baseball Champions, the Warriors locked and loaded for the NBA playoffs, and now the San Francisco 49ers heading to their sixth Superbowl appearance this weekend – this has proven to be a banner year (6 months, really) for San Francisco sports.
