24th Dubai Basketball Championships commence in UAE

The 24th Dubai Basketball Championships are being held at the Rashed Ben Maktoum-Dubai Stadium with 8 teams participating in a 10-day round-robin tournament.

Teams participating in this tournament include two team from the host country United Arab Emirates: Ahli Dubai and the UAE National Team.

The tournament will also feature three teams from Lebanon: Al Riyadi Beirut,Sagesse Beirut, Mouttahed Tripoli, as well as three club teams from that region – Smart Gilas (Philippines), Al Riyadi Aramex (Jordan), and Almaty (Kazakhstan).

The games are going on from January 10-19, 2013 and has been organized by the UAE Basketball Association under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
