The Second All-Lombrosian Team

Cesare Lombroso, the Phrenologist

Hi, folks!

Today it’s my privilege to present the second ALL-LOMBROSIAN team…

Oh, just a little reminder: the selection does not respect the usual “point guard, off guard, small forward, power forward, center” composition of any balanced team. The true Lombrosian has not and is not aware of his position on the court, it’s pure chaos when he comes in, and often knocks players out with huge body-checks… team-mates mainly.

Stratos Perperoglou, Ilysiakos

Skinny specimen of Lombrosian… You do not recognize him immediately, since he shaves on a daily basis, but… don’t judge a book by its cover: he PLAYS Lombrosian… He’ll be able to kill you with some offensive rebounds, as he’s so thin you can’t literally box him out…

Giannis Gkagkaloudis, Panathinaikos

A professional towel-waver. Has chances to get few playing time when Pana is up by 40…if up by only 35, with 2 minutes to go, his coach Obradovic, does not feel comfortable sending him in…Needs 5 minutes or 10 defensive plays to realize what kind of defense his team is playing…

Alekos Petroulas, Ilysiakos

Taller version of first team ALL-LOMBROSIAN Vetoulas (Petroulas – Vetoulas, one face, one race)… Will guard his opponent with all the weapons he owns… knees, elbows… When open for a three-pointer, before he shoots, Tv broadcaster should activate PARENTAL GUIDANCE 18…

Giannis Kalampokis, Olympiakos

Not really a pro player… Rumours say he works for a moving company… This explains his bulky body… Quality Lombrosian… Teammates cheer at him when his shot hits the rim at least, (countless broken fingers, since 90 % of his outside shots are airballs)…

Giannis Lappas, Aris

I could not understand the reason of his presence in a basketball court… Can’t score at all, never seen him making a basket… Not even against Irakleio… But one day, instead of switching channel after the match, I watched the post-game interviews, and… here’s Lappas translating his American coach’s quotes… Aris saves big bucks in translators… NOW I understand…

That’s it…for now.

Cheers!
