Hatzivrettas shows his pure athleticism and great instinct for getting in the air. Panathinaikos blew out the visiting team from Slovenia on February 18, by scoring 101 points against KRKA's 67. Nikos Hatzivrettas scored 17 points, while Arriel McDonald and Darryl Middleton threw in 15, with Fragiskos Alevertis and Jaka Lakovic added 13 apiece.

Bagaric made the clutch free-throws to win the game.In the meantime, Olympiakos beat Alba Berlin in Germany thanks to Dalibor Bagaric's clutch free-throws with only ten eighths of a second left in the game, winning 71-70. The game was tight the entire way, although when the last quarter started, Olympiakos was down 62-56. Olympiakos came storming back, and the game was tied at 67 in the final minute. When Bagaric stepped up to the "charity strip" the "Reds" were down by a point. He put them over the top.

Panathinaikos and Olympiakos are both in the Top 16, and have a good chance to compete for the Euroleague Championship title. Both teams finished the Euroleague competitions with a 7-7 record.

Neither team knows who they will play against yet. The draw for the tournament seeds will take place on Monday, February 23 in Barcelona, Spain.

Anybody who was hoping to watch the Final Four must do so with a television. No tickets are left for any of the Final Four matches.

Other teams that made it to the Top 16 include FC Barcelona, CSKA Moscow, Efes Pilsen, Maccabi, Benetton, Cibona VIP, Pamesa, Skipper, Ulker, Tau Ceramica, Montepaschi, Olimpija, Pau-Orthez, and Zalgiris Kuanas.
