        27 / 12 / 4 / 3

His defence ( which eventually led to a steal ) on Rose was great on the previous play.

He's currently second in efficient only behind Westbrook in the whole League. Jumper and 3P have been heavily improved, he even pulls the fade away shot consistently this year. Such a beast.

Only 22 years old and appears to be a good smart kid. The sky is the limit. 5 years from now between him Porzingis and Towns the three best players in the world could all be non Americans.

All star starter, that's amazing for him. Youngest international player to ever play in an All-star game.

True. Is it still racial outcome that European fans don't really get exited about him, don't hype, don't speak about him too much? Maybe partly because of the fact he hasn't yet dominated FIBA basketball as well. But again this guy is a lock to be one of the greats after Dirk, Pau and Parker stepping down, yet we talk about Porzingis, Jokic and Doncic more.
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

                Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
                Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
                Buzelis, Lelevicius
                Murauskas, Sirvydis
                Tubelis, Krivas

41/8/6 and a new career high against the Lakers. Such a joy to watch him ( not the Bucks anymore though )

Agree. What he's doing is beyond logic. Most likely he won't have the chance to score with the same ease in FIBA competitions but apart from his driving which can be unstoppable, he's jumper has improved big time. Looking forward to watch him now that without Jabari he's the ultimate leader in offense.

Please throw Joel Embiid into the mix as well. He is showing as good early signs as the three above. Could realistically be the top 4 are international. But I doubt it as, there is always just too much volume of great american kids coming up - especially at the guard and wings spots.

Anthony Davis is will still be just as good or better than all of them though (and only 23).

You guys think the Greek national team figures out how to properly use Giannis?
He was fairly uninspiring this past summer and it now seems it was less about Giannis and more about Greek coaching, their system, his teammates or maybe just FIBA style basketball. I didn't watch their games - what does anyone else think?

Good point we forget how young Davis is because he's already been around so long. I agree talent wise with Embid. He may be better than all of them. But I didn't include him because I have serious doubts about his health. Historically bigs with feet and leg problems never pan out. I hope he can be the exception.

He never played basketball at top level in Europe. This is the essential problem concerning Giannis. He will likely never be as good for the Greek NT as the NBA. But he can be the key player.

Why is this the "essential problem concerning Giannis" but wasn't the case for guys like Dirk Niwitzki, Pau Gasol and Tony Parker who played minimal to no basketball at "top European level" while spending lifetimes in the NBA yet their play translated to their national teams ? It has nothing to do with that. When you are a transcendent talent it doesn't matter.
It's all about tailoring team play and taking advantage of his skills. I think that will come in the near future.

I found this thread rather enlightening to read through given Giannis burgeoning success in the NBA which has only be bolstered by his playoff success. Being in Milwaukee he was off a lot of people's radars, a fair point was raised that if he and Porzingas swapped teams we'd be getting 24/7 coverage of Giannis.

A potential 2nd round match-up with Lebron's Cavs could catapult him into super stardom in the States.

As some say stat PER36 became meaningless because players rarely play that much, Giannis is averaging 38 minutes per game. That's No.1 PT in NBA, second surprisingly is a grandpa Lebron James.
