Several big upsets. Biancoblu Bologna keep surprising with a come from behind win at Veroli against one of the main candidates to the promotion. They were trailing by 13 with just 6 minutes left in the game, but managed to post a terrific run later in the game.
We are used to fight till end,we 'll never die,BIANCOBLU is the heir of Fortitudo.
Baldassarre best Lega due player till now.
Piacenza-Veroli 72-68 (Dwayne Anderson 26 pts + 18 rebs + 1 blk, Harrison 13 pts, Passera 12 pts ; Gerald Lee 23 pts + 6 rebs 7/10 2p, 9/9 ft, Jarrius Jackson 20 pts, Rowe 10 pts + 6 stls)
Biancoblu Bologna had a bye week
Newcomer Brescia keeps surprising and is currently alone at the top with 3 wins in 3 weeks, two of them on the road. Apart from Reggio Emilia (2 wins in 2 games), most of the big teams are struggling as Brindisi (2nd loss at home), Veroli and Verona (0 wins) all lost, while Barcellona finally won but facing a very unlucky Imola (missing Whiting, Prato, Daniels, Andreaus).
MVP - Jaka Klobuçar (Ostuni) 26 pts 4/7 2p, 4/8 3p, 6/7 ft + 4 rebs + 2 stls- A few days after coming to replace injured JJ Williams, not only he had a great scoring night, he also scored the game-winning basket with 7" left to play.
Favourite Reggio Emilia beat terrible newcomer Brescia in the battle of undefeated and is now the only team with a perfect record, also because Bologna lost at Pistoia. Brindisi and Barcellona showing signs of improvements, while Verona, after sacking its coach finally finds its first win in a thrilling game vs Imola. Scafati is on fire, through thrashing Jesi for its 3rd straight win. Veroli the biggest disappointment so far.

I hope he'll gain back some confidence in lega Due. His talent isn't questionable, yet somehow he seems to be having issues in his head.

Brescia beated Verona 66 - 65.
It has been a bad game; nor Brescia neither Verona plaied well .
The fours american scored all together 14 points!!
Thompson 0, Goldiwire 5 (but he injuried early in the game), West 4 and Edwards 5. Also Busma bad.
MVP of the game has been Mario Ghersetti with 21 points and 11 rebounds but very important for Brescia also Franco Bushati. He has been determinant in 3rd quarter when seems Verona could take the W.
Eventually, Brescia won with last season team !
Reggio Emilia keeps rolling remaining the only unbeaten, though newly promoted Brescia managed to get a come from behind win vs Verona.
Brindisi and Ostuni win thanks to buzzer beaters (by Hunter and Klobuçar respectively), while Pistoia wins an incredible game on the road with many turnarounds from both sides thanks to an amazing performance by Dwight Hardy.
Reggio Emilia one win away from securing the final 1st place and the automatic promotion to Serie A. That's good, as they are a serious club, very solid financially and with good fanbase and tradition.
The other teams, from 2nd to 9th, will be fighting in the playoffs for the other promotion. Main candidates are Brindisi and Scafati, with Pistoia and maybe Jesi as darkhorses. I hope it will be Brindisi, since besides Reggio Emilia they're the most solid club, they also have amazing fans. I also appreciate they made a further effort by signing players like Kostas Charalambidis and Jonathan Gibson to have more options for the playoffs.
Reggio Emilia struggled a lot but in the end beat Imola (71-67) and as expected secured the first place which means promotion. They're back in Serie A five years later, congrats for a well deserved achievement.
Surprisingly Brindisi stumbled at home against Bologna, so not only they couldn't secure the 2nd place as they were expected to, now they need to win at Scafati (unbeaten at home) in order to do it. If they lose they will end 4th or even 5th.
Bologna and Imola are both safe, the relegation now concerns only San'Antimo (18 pts) and Forlì (16 pts).
Has anyone seen Dwayne Anderson of Piacenza at all? if yes is he a good defender and finally do you know roughly how big was his contract? thanks in advance

Good questions. Don't know about his salary. He had a good season, although he maybe was expected to do even better, I'd say he's a great athlete who could be a very effective defender, but we didn't see it very often as he was mostly focused on his offensive duties. Has been inconsistent, sometimes a dominating force since he can do a lot of things (he scores, rebounds, dishes the ball fairly well too) but in some games appeared very erratic. Played PF most of the time, though he's more of a SF with great athleticism and phisicality but as long as he doesn't turn into a more consistent threat from distance I think he would have problems to adjust to higher levels.
Do you think he'd be effective at Serie A level and also do you think he'd be more suited to SF there? thanks for your answers man, much appreciated
I see him more suited to LegaDue, where there's a lot of smallball so that he can easily move to the PF spot and take advantage of his phisicality and athleticism. I don't think he could do the same in Serie A, where he could play as a PF just in pinches due to his size, but at the same time I'm not fully convinced he could be very effective as a SF as he still needs to work on his outside shot and also has a tendency to travel with the ball.
Anyway from next season teams in Serie A will be allowed to sign up to 5 US players and not just 2/3 as now, so he will have more chances to get offers from teams that compete in that league.
Speaking of US players playing in LegaDue, Reggio Emilia had a very good duo (Donell Taylor, Dawan Robinson) that according to rumors should be confirmed for next season in Serie A. Veteran Paul Marigney (Scafati) had a breakout campaign, scored a lot and won several games hitting buzzer beaters, but I think Pistoia had the best duo (Bobby Jones, Dwight Hardy) and Dwight Hardy is one of the brightest talents I've seen in a while at this level. Needs to play more D which I'm sure he will do in a different context next to other scoring options, but offensively he's pure gold. Considering he's just a rookie I really see him possibly as the next gem coming out of this league.
