first you lebanese guys called us pingpongs then you called the filipino thread starter @$$hol3. do you guys really resort to those kinds of ways? you havent heard anything yet from us filipinos here.

take it easy man....we are talking about basketball = sports so we all should have some sport spirit...calm down guys....

cool down, i think uve reached ur boiling pt
look at my signature

bash your fellow filipino forumers here or call him a$$hole like you did and show the other nationalities here how it is done the proper way. anyway, there are a lot here who are ready to bow down and wipe other nation's as$es. filipinos talk about chot's team not having the killer instinct. some even posted pics of jawo and the other bad boys. when pinoy forumers here cant even show that angas here.

pagod na ako sa mga pinoy na ganito. dito lang sa forum na to yan. mga makapili. yung posts ko titirahin ng mga intelihenteng santopara lang maging maganda sa paningin ng iba. one even asked if it is my problem because someone has a different view. can someone remind him that this is a forum that one can give his opinion and the other can give his.

you'll see what im talking about after this post. only in the philippines.

my stand will stay. importless lebanon will never win against our country's team. i gave my points. im done here. now back to philstar and again talk about filipinos here.

lmfao u guyz really made me laugh lol , come on continue fighting :P for silly reasons, and for our forumers filippino friends, it doesn't matter who's leading in friendly games or in official games, what matters is to watch nice basketball from both teams, and the team who plays well without mistakes will win, and if powerade(PR) won i will be happy for u pinoyz :), u guyz just be civil ok (i think it's gonna be a close game if we didn't controll it from the bigening) cheers.

most of the time if not all the time, intellectual people will believe what a certain institution like fiba says. get that my friend? :p

if we wanna get that low we can also count on FIBA when they suspend philippines or put lebanon in a way better ranking.. (24>>63) im not saying it counts .. but this is an info from the institution which "most of the time if not all the time, intellectual people will believe what a certain institution like fiba says":D:D:D

1) shitty is when the only win you have is a mid court buzzer beater three.
2) shitty is your team minus vroman.

good luck dani. hope your players will sign the contract that your country is offering them just to play for their "country". and who knows you might beat china with all the mercenaries for hire you have. :D

arent u one of the guys that started crying after a rumor spread that lebanon will naturalize giles from smart gilas?????????
as i know giles will be naturalized in the future for philipines
by the way i like this rivalry....here is another one...
egypt won against italy in confederation cup in football 1-0...
however the egyptians are smart not to say that egypt is better than italy...

an interesting thread this is. people throwing bricks at each other. tempers flaring everywhere. this only shows how the lebanese and filipinos love their basketball and their respective NTs. passion to the fore!

for all we know, come August both lebanon and rp won't get out even the quarterfinal round. lol. well, i hope it won't happen to our NTs.

again, we can have our own opinion and views. it might not be popular or against the belief of each other. just respect them nonetheless. peace brothers!

on to tianjin! or should i say, turkey? =>

I dont mind anyone to say his team is better than Lebanon, its ok for me! but no one has the right to disrespect our team including that some players are "mercenaries" and are " payed " and whatsoever.
Those things are specificities and none has the right to interefere as much as Fiba allows it am i right ?
If im not wrong, many Filipinos were given back the nationality including Gabe Norwood,Asi Taulava,Kelly Williams,Danny Seigle,Chris Lutz ..... if i said anything wrong correct me? and none of the lebanese went to your forum disrespecting those players and asking for how much they are getting cz in case they r getting money or not this is not our job or concerns ,its yours!!!!
Thank you!

to our philipino friends...the lebanese fans were the most in this forum to respect ur team and ur love to ur team....but some posts that u r typing here are very offensive....dont blame the lebanese forumers for what they respond as a result to your offensive posts

he didnt mean it this way,he meant that if you are counting on friendly games to compare btw the two teams then we can use the Fiba rankings also to compare.
There's a slight difference btw the two teams honestly, maybe Rp team is a good team but yet they are not showing a good competition against Iran,Jordan,Lebanon and others.
Fiba Asia is the only fair tournament to compare!

The reason the phils havent really shown up to potential pinoy fans are expecting of them is because they havent gotten that much chance to even play at all. team pilipinas pros are very capable of handling the international game- they are adept at dealing with african-american presence and talent, although what they are not ready for yet is the familiarity with the international play, not to mention the tremendous PRESSURE the country is expecting of them with very short preparation times. Some of the recognized best players from the RP roster played way subpar a couple of years ago, but not because they were severly less talented against their asian neighbors. heck- these same guys can go competitively against former NBA and NCAA division 1 players night in, night out... its just that playing beyond local soil is something very new for them and have yet to acclimatize to.

If these hastily prepared Pilipinas' selections defeated and became competitive against top tier Asian teams (with years of playing together under their belt) before then what more with a more competent basketball grassroots program right now?

As long as the local politicans dont cause another Phil suspension then expect the team to continually improve in the years to come.
