  • Ask Jonas Jerebko a question

I was able to connect with Jonas Jerebko, possibly the first Swede to ever get drafted in the NBA's first round, and he has agreed to an interview with Interbasket. Please submit your questions in this thread!

    Cheers, Stuart

I'll start, Jonas, you seemed to have come out of nowhere, when did you first realize you had the real potential to be drafted into the NBA?

What was it like growing up in Sweden?

Who were you basketball idols growing up?

Hey there Jonas, after you being the first Swede to be drafted, can you recommend another Swede that has the potential to being drafted in the NBA draft next year?

Do you think The NBA is going to use your image properly in a marketing campaign In Sweden to promote Basketball, and The NBA there, like they are doing to European players from other countries,Nowadays? lilke, Dirk, Gasol, Tony Parker, or like they Did with Mutombo?

if not, is it because the NBA is apathetic about small markets? or did they think that Basketball isn't popular enough there for the NBA to waste their money on that?

How do you compare the level ofthe NCAA first division with the Swedish League? Do you think kids playing in the Swedish League, nowadays have the same or similar level to those NBA prospects playings in College, considering that they are playing in a Profesional league against Grown-Ups.

Sorry for the late response, but between Jonas' heavy schedule and my being on a mini-vacation with low and limited connectivity, I hadn't the time to edit and put together the interview with the quality and time I like to put behind them. Anyways, I would like to thank Jonas for his time. Thanks for your patience guys, here is the interview: http://www.interbasket.net/news/2961...de-in-the-nba/
