"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

Slam Dunk Tournament of the NBB 2010 - 2011 - Jan 4, 2011 (by Paulo Freire)
The All-Star Game weekend, had a great Slam Dunk contest last season on the NBB 09/10 in the city of Uberlandia. It was full of surprises, first the elimination of the champion, Julio Toledo (former Araraquara), in the first round of the competition. A major change was also noticed in terms of creativity, who can not remember the former Flamengo player Vitor Boccardo dunking with a sunglasses during his performace and the american Brewer former Pinheiros putting some money in the basketball glass, jumping and grabbing the note.
In this edition of the Slam Dunk Contest on the All-Star weekend, we will have a leaner version of the Slam Dunk Tournament, will be only five participants, the center Rafael Mineiro Ferreira (208-C/F-88) (Sao Jose dos Campos), defending champion, plus four athletes that will come from a a pre-list of 15 players.
Check below the pre-selectable list of the Slam Dunk contest of NBB 2010 / 2011:
Renato Scholz (197-F-88, agency: Garra Sports Marketing)
Roberto Ferreira (196-F/C-79)
Ricardo Probst (200-F/C-76, agency: Interperformances)

Ricardo Gaspar (202-F-84, agency: Garra Sports Marketing)
Caue Borges dos Santos (180-G-91)

The NBB slam dunk it's not that interesting (at least it wasn't in the last edition), but it has potential to be fun. I think it depends a bit on luck too. This year the All-Star weekend will be in Franca, it's called the capital of basketball, since the town and it's citzens really have deep roots with the sport, so at least the atmosphere will be great.
