See, even Iranians agree.. (is that the Iran flag?)

Danny Seigle in his prime would've been one of Asia's best.

        • Chris Banchero is GNAC Player of the Week

          11/29/2010 4:54:38 PM

SPOKANE, Wash. – Seattle Pacific senior Chris Banchero, who surpassed the 30-point plateau in consecutive games last weekend, received the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Co-Athlete of the Week award for men’s basketball on Monday.

Banchero tied his career-high on Saturday, scoring 34 points in a 79-68 victory at Grand Canyon. He tallied 24 points from beyond the 3-point line. Banchero's eight treys were one shy of the school single-game record of nine held by Drake Hudgins (Mar. 4, 2000) and Dustin Bremerman (Dec. 2 2006).

A 6-foot-1 point guard from Seattle's O'Dea High School, Banchero amassed 31 points and 10 assists Friday in an 88-82 loss against Fort Lewis. He played a part in 57 of the Falcons’ 82 points, including assists on six of their 10 baskets from 3-point range.

For the weekend, Banchero compiled 65 points and 13 assists. He made 20 of 41 shots, including 9 of 17 from 3-point range.

Banchero has already matched his two 30-point performances from last year's regular season. He reached the 30-point mark in all three of SPU’s exhibition wins this year, including 38 points at Eastern Washington and 33 at Nevada.

The 2010 West Region and Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Banchero is a 2011 preseason All-American.

He shared the GNAC's weekly honor with Chris Sprinker of Central Washington.

The Falcons (2-2) are home this weekend to host the four-team SPU Invitational at Brougham Pavilion. Seattle Pacific plays Chaminade on Friday at 7 p.m. in the tournament’s first round. The Silverswords are coming off a 68-64 upset of Oklahoma in the Maui Invitational.

On Saturday at 7 p.m., SPU has a rematch with Grand Canyon.

Central Washington is also taking part in the SPU Invitational, playing at 5 p.m. both days.

for sure.. but as a power forward.
I remember someone hated the term"PUSO" so much.
A few years later, "PUSO" has become Gilas's battle cry.

Now i know where Manu_bol's hate is coming from.
