Off the top of my head, there's Terrill Rose. But not sure if his Pinoy lineage is legit.

And of course, Tautuaa. Could be the best big man prospect available today.
    Keep running, big boy.

It would be nice to look back at this thread five years from now
There is another 6' 5" player from Laguna who was suppose to transfer to USTHS but the school rescinded the scholarship offer. He will stay in Laguna until he completes his K-12 requirement.

Kerouac, you forgot to mention the desert eagle, a 15 year old 6' 6-7" recruit of AHS with large hands. He is now safely enrolled in Katipunan and is a legacy of ADMU. The father is an ADMU alumni.

Was about to include him, but all we know now is the first name. Hehe. Will put him in as "Mystery Desert Eagle" or something.

Sadly, it seems he got his dad's motor. Marilou Aquino was good for his time simply because the PBA lacked big enough centers to defend him. Had he played today, he wouldn't have been as successful.

His son needs to work on his motors and agility. Needs to toughen up also.

kids this days are very lucky. information is available for them in any kind of media format. if the kid really is dead serious in his career he could check out in youtube the training regimen to improve motor and agility. most of the NBA Players workout is available in youtube, they could just watch it and follow.

Badly needs plyometric training and work on fundamentals.

On another note, comparing our teenage "bigs" to their foreign counterparts will make you realize that our players still have a long way to go before they can even compete on the same level. For instance, how many of these "big men" will actually have handles decent enough for them to drive to the hoop by the time they reach 18?

              • This kid Pangalanan need a dose of his great CABALEN like Dennis Espino,Ian Sanggalan,Long David,Arwin Santos and Calvin Abueva. Remembered, Dennis Pineda his the son of bong pineda and Governor Lilia pineda, so he can afford the these guys to train this kid and others big kids in Pampanga. I remembered one NBA coach said you need to be patience when you trains centers.

                • Hopefullly these tall players would not be trained to just play center. they should also concentrate on ball handling and dribbling.

this is great local boys are getting taller and taller, soon enough we will produce international quality big men and maybe we could afford not to naturalize a big man anymore. This two boys still need a growth spurt to max their potential.

i think he will be around 6'7"-6'8" after two to three years.. torres, kyle pascual, paredes were already 6'5"-6'6" @16 but when paredes and pascual entered the pba they have thesame height..i assume their height then was padded so atleast they have grown an inch or two..
