None of them elite players. That's a problem. We have 4 NBA players, but not a single elite Euroleague's player. That's says a lot about current situation.

I just want to keep track of that. Because even if they are not elite they still play at a high Level.

Next season Kulboka might join the party and maybe someone like Orelikas and Gudaitis. So 5 Lithuanians would be a Nice step further.

Grigonis could play in Euroleague as well. The good news is that some guards prevailing like Lukas, Grigonis, Kulboka. We need more Euroleague's level guards in the first place.

Gudaitis moved to AJ. So next season, but Sedekerskis wont be in Baskonia squad. So currently there will be Kalnas, Gudaitis and Maciulis playing in euroleague.

Had to edit my post. Forgot my fav player Lekavicius .

So this season we should have 4 players compared to 3 last year(outside Zalgiris), which is a 33% increase lol.

But that's just the Lithuanian players. Where do some of these best performances stand overall?

Macijauskas stands 4-7th and Stombergas 9th in best scoring performance of all time in EL. The best is 41pts Stombergas stands as No.1 with his 9/9 threes in one game, what a terrific shooter he was. Motiejunas 1rst in defensive rebounds 18 and 3rd in rebounds overall - 21. Darjus Lavrinovic 4th in blocks - 7.

Knowing that Zalgiris has 2 Lithuanian studs in Jankunas and Ulanovas (they would find a place in other EL team, IMO), we have 6 EL players and 3 NBA players + D-Mo (permanent enigma). That's a nice 10 men core. The problem is that only 2 of them are guards Hopefully Grigonis will pan out to EL level guard soon. Defensively he's already there, now needs more maturity and consistence at O.

Cant argue with that, but thats just what ifs.
Im just daydreaming here now, but somehow Rytas coming back to its old self and winning eurocup would be a huge boost to Lithuanian basketball. I know they probably cant do it anytime soon, but you cant deny that they are going uphill now.

Jankunas as 8th all time best Euroleague scorer and has a good chance to climb to 6th spot. Pretty impressive. Very consistent career, not muc of injuries and he has played at another level like last 3 years, has been a stud. So far amazing in 2 of EL rounds this season - 19,5pts (57/50/100), 6.5rebounds, 32 PIR.

Gudaitis suddenly (you wouldn't expect it not so long time ago) becomes the best Lithuanian player in Europe (outside Lithuania). He's been good in Armani from the start and after 3 Euroleague games averages 14 pts in just 21 min. He made 20 pts (9/9 2pts) and 7 rebs against Real in about 23 min.

And i like his face in Euroleague profile.

It's amazing what kind of a leap Lekavicius made in few years. Not so long ago, in 2014 he couldn't stand out among 20yo in U20 EC. Now he's balling for PANA like he doesn't care. Best performance so far, 14pts:

Calathes playing so well - he leads Euroleague competition with assists (7,9) being among top5 most valuable players at the moment, Lekavicius has played crappy minutes recently - 4,6,7 (averages 12). They both are true pg's so those minutes are understandable. He could be more than a role player, but not in this team unless PAO's local pg is fine.

I hoped Lukas would play more, but Calathes is playing great and they also can use Pappas at 1 so it's a hell of a competition for Lukas.
