The US opponents seemed even weaker than normal. Colombia played with the most spirit and heart and deserved to get second place. US shot extremely poorly today and it will be interesting to see how they do the next two games.

Argentina kept it close for a while, but the US played their best half in several years at this age group to crush the hosts in the second half. Canada also had some early trouble with Colombia but pulled away.

US with their second straight strong performance rolled over Canada 91-46 in the final. Had some ups and downs against weak opposition in the group stages but came through in the big games.

Tournament was less competitive than last one, but US team played much more organized bball than 2015's. Good job from coaching staff and good news for 2018 U17 WC.
Individually, Aliyah Boston, a native of St Thomas, USVI, finished as US team best scorer and deserved the MVP award, while 14-y old Azzi Fudd was the final's top scorer.
