Is this the same inter government agency that has PNP, Pag-ibig, Philhealth playing where Ponce and Hatague are playing for Pag-ibig)?

Julius Babao revisits complaint against PBA player on 'XXX' by ABS-CBN Corp. Comm. | November 28, 2011 8:47 AM | Share this article

Anyone who wants to replace a coach because his dwarf team keeps losing against bigger teams is wishing for a miracle and should get a magician. A more practical solution is to get reinforcements unless one is content to wait a few more years in the hope that the dwarf players will grow wings and fly over their defenders. PBA reinforcements will not guarantee a championship, but it will guarantee close losses which is enough to make me happy.

All of these guys can revive their career in the ABL. Or in the D-League if they are not over the age limit.
Many of the players in this list did not last long in the PBA. Some did not even make it. Those who are still in the big league are Jaime, Rodriguez and Alonzo.

                            • ^ It's good that Magpayo found a career outside of basketball. Perhaps he's one of the top players who never made it to the PBA. He was part of the 2000 NCAA championship team of St. Benilde along with Sunday Salvacion, Jondan Salvador, Ronald Capati and Mark Magsumbol who all made it to the big league.

                              • Woolpert

Now for former PBA coaches. Remember Paul Woolpert? The American coach who replaced countryman Bill Bayno as Talk N Text mentor some years back? He is now coaching in the Australian National Basketball League. And he's currently in hot water.

The National Basketball League has announced that Townsville Crocodiles Head Coach Paul Woolpert (agency: SportsTalent ) has elected to have the charges against him heard by telephone by the NBL Tribunal.

Woolpert was charged with Abusive Language and Unsportsmanlike Conduct following the Townsville Crocodiles versus Wollongong Hawks match on Saturday night at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong.

The Townsville Crocodiles club advised the NBL head office this morning that Woolpert had elected to have the matter heard via a telephone hook-up, rather than opting for a formal Tribunal hearing.

NBL Tribunal Chairman Scott Derwin will now conduct individual phone interviews with all parties to the charges on Tuesday afternoon. The outcome will be advised as soon as the Tribunals ruling has been handed down.

As per standard NBL rules, all parties are forbidden from publicly discussing the charges now that the matter has been referred to the Tribunal.
