I think Kobe needs a big city with a big Filipino community to thrive. Being out in the hinterlands of Nebraska wasn't gonna do that for him. Plus now the CSUN Matadors now gained major social media mileage since they're not just getting a player but also that player's 600,000 IG and Twitter followers. Not bad for a middling D1 team.

"Wow, that happened quickly. He is super athletic at 6'6". Good enough to be offered by UCLA at one point. He has a big built in fan base. Should be exciting times at the Matadome once he becomes eligible."
"So, if Kobe joins CSUN then he would have a really good chance at a Starting Position becuase we are losing a ton of fire-power when '17-'18 ends. I.e. Jerron Wilbut, Michael Warren, Julian Richardson, Reggie Theus Jr., Tavrion Dawson and Dylan Johns."Last edited by Anonymous123; 05-09-2017, 05:34 AM.

This could be great for his development, lots of playing time. This leaves him as an extremely long shot at the NBA. This school has never made an NBA player has it? Unless he has a meteoric rise and leads this team into the sweet 16 while averaging 29 ppg or something, I can't imagine it really happening. He might be able to get his reputation to the level where he could play in Europe at a high level as opposed to have to go home to the PBA though.

Do you guys think that Coach Theus would be lenient enough to allow Kobe to do things like play for the Philippines in 3x3, practice with the Gilas pool, since he won't be playing any games during his redshirt year? He'll still be practice and training with CSUN as much as he can of course.Click the link to check us out -> REFRESH Basketball "Inspiring youth with our love of the game. I do not know about that but I'd love to see Kobe participate in any of those events

CSUN produced only one player base on google and it was McCracken way back in the 70s. Though I think Theus as a former NBA player himself have some sort of connection I assume. If Kobe average at least 20ppg, he might get a workout with few NBA teams.Last edited by Southpaw; 05-09-2017, 05:42 PM.
