RE: Davao Aguilas FC Coach Gary Philips Sacked
This report confirms that Davao Aguilas FC Coach Gary Philips has been sacked. It was sort of bound to happen, I mean they got a lot of quality players in the Transfer Window, and then even went to Malaysia for a couple of weeks to play against teams there to prepare the team, and yet their last couple of games they still couldn't win a game.

RE: Trouble Brewing in the PFL?
Trouble seems to be brewing in the Philippine Football League (PFL) based on the game between Global Cebu FC (GCFC) and Stallions Laguna FC (SLFC) at the Rizal Memorial Stadium (RMS) today (Wednesday, September 20, 2017).
The game was set to kick off at 4:00 pm, but as early as 11:30 am the official PFL page on Facebook made the announcement that the game will be cancelled (https://www.facebook.com/Philippines...82930105090171).
However, both GCFC and SLFC went to the venue, but since no official was around, they both eventually agreed to cancel the game, announcing it on their official Facebook pages at 4:14 pm (https://www.facebook.com/globalfootb...96809017026868).
Things like these are not a good sign for the PFL. They already lost their TV coverage on PTV4 and now relies exclusively on livestreams, and now on top of that you have issues like these.
IMHO, it is the teams that spend a lot of money to make the games happen, paying for the players salaries, plane tickets, accommodations, etc., so they should be given some leeway in terms of whatever issues there may be, like the venues, for example.
Anyway, this could lead to bigger confrontations later, and will certainly mean even more trouble for the league itself. Sad to see this happen.

RE: PFL Game Cancellations
The way I see it, the Philippine Football League (PFL) cannot cancel games just like that. With their regional format, a lot of money is being spent by the clubs to make the games happen.
Things like Plane Fare, Accommodations, etc. adds to the cost of maintaining a team, hence if you schedule a game, all of that ends up being just wasted.
Not sure if this is a case of Incompetence, or maybe the PFL trying to make a disciplinary statement or something, but in the end it doesn't look good to the fans, team owners, players, etc.
The PFL should be humble enough to admit that Football in the country is not as popular as before and thus should be willing to allow for some leeways here and there for the league to survive.
They can't be too demanding anymore, IMHO. Anyway, let's see what happens next.
