Fontaine, Nystrom and E. Gustavsson led their NCAA teams in scoring, Hanson too had a respectable college career.
Claesson averaged nearly 10 ppg at the 2014 U20 EC, Hägg is the youngest and played at the 2017 U20 EC.
USA women (aka University of Maryland) lost a friendly with Chinese Taipei 83-73. Brianna Fraser and Kaila Charles led USA with 20 and 12 pts.
From low quality streaming clips it appears that US team defense struggled against outside shooting from the hosts.
Chinese Taipei usually sends competitive teams to WUG, but Maryland squad has considerably weakened since losing its two top players to the pros.
USA/Maryland women bounced back from yesterday loss winning their second scrimmage, 78-72 over Australia. The American team led from early in the game and was up 37-33 at ht, leading 65-54 after Q3. Fraser again topped the Terps with 23 points, followed by Ieshia Small with 12, Tori Jankoska 10 and freshman Channise Lewis with 9.

Interesting to see how crowded are games even not involving home teams. At today's USA-ARG attendance was over 6,500.
Taiwan loves its basketball!
Although I must admit, while the USA would always draw a crowd, the Taiwan game immediately followed the USA game which resulted in a huge turnout. I got to the stadium at about 3 pm and it was very full even for Germany and HK. Those all day tickets defintiely help the turnout
Game of the day for sure was Australia vs Lithuania in the men's tournament (live streamed). AUS took a solid lead that reached 18 pts in Q3, but was erased by LTU after 5' in the last quarter. Game stayed closed until the end, when Lithuanian team failed to convert the last ball possession and tie the score. Vasiljevic and Cooks best from AUS, Saulys for LTU.
Australia beat Lithuania in the women's tournament as well, but the score resulted more close than expected.
