Shallow conference with a shallow draft...
Jason Perkins picked first overall by Racal-Keramix in PBA D-League rookie draft
From: Reuben Terrado
December 1, 2015, 02:25 pm
JASON Perkins of De La Salle made the No. 1 pick overall by Racal/Keramix Mixers in the PBA D-League draft on Tuesday at the PBA Café.
Perkins was followed by another Green Archer in Julian Sargeant, who was picked No. 2 by AMA University, while Von Pessumal of Ateneo was picked by Tanduay Light with the third selection overall.
Taylor Statham was the first Fil-foreign player selected in the 2015 draft at No. 4 by Café France-Centro Escolar University, while Wangs Basketball picked Avery Schaerer, who last played in the Asean Basketball League. Mike Williams of California State University was picked sixth, also by Wangs Basketball.
Agustini Amar was picked seventh by Jam Liner-University of the Philippines, while Phoenix Petroleum, which has a school tie-up with Far Eastern University squad, took Richard Escoto at No. 8.
National University-BDO passed in the first round as it will bring the entire NU Bulldogs squad in the UAAP.

Is he the first Fil-Am who has scored that much in the NCAA Div 1 to come and play here?
It's a coincidence he comes from the same school as Lassiter where Lassiter only averaged 9PPG. This guy averaged 17PPG so he must have a lot of potential. How can he not be the #1 pick?
It's surprising he only averaged 4PPG in the D-League. Paano pa si Parks na hindi sa US nag college? I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Ryan Wetherell.

PASIG CITY – The De La Salle University pair of Jason Perkins and Julian Sargent were the top two selections in the 2015 PBA D-League Rookie Draft held last December 1 (Tuesday) at the PBA Cafe. The burly Perkins was the overall first pick by Racal/KeraMix while AMA Online Education wasted no time in tabbing Sargent with the second pick. READ MORE

ONE OF only two remaining league pioneers, Tanduay Rhum will enter the 2016 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup with a revamped roster that will go all out to finally deliver a championship for the franchise. Coach Lawrence Chongson has built a team composed of four returnees, key veteran recruits and a promising pair of rookies from last month’s draft while removing the word “Light” from their team name. IF BUSINESSMAN Jonito Racal can put up two competitive basketball teams, think of the possibilities if both these teams merge. That will be the scenario as Caida Tiles, formerly the KeraMix Mixers, compete in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup later this month. READ MORE
