We gonna have Australia & New Zealand. When Australia came over from football, people thought they will win Asia Cup straight away..But the Japanese had different plans .
What about BBALL? I think Only China playing at top level can stop them. Even if Australia dont come with their NBA players, they will still be favorites probably.

      Matthew Dellavedova Cleveland Cavaliers
      Andrew Bogut Golden State Warriors
      Patty Mills San Antonio Spurs

3 well known players in NBA. Then you got also another NBA player in Cameron Bairstow ( Chicago Bulls). If those players are taking part of fiba asia in 2017, Australia are favorites by good margin.

That guy or another, they have like 10 players who can be the star of any other NT. Only China can maybe fight them, and Philppines if they get a naturalize center like blatche and Clarkson playing together.

The others they be favorites to not just beat them, but blow them out.I am ok with Australia participating in world cup qualification through asia, but they will ruin competition playing in asia. they will dominate.

Julian Khazzouh would be best lebanese player if he played for us, next to the naturalized. He can also play for Australia, and Australia deem him not good enough for their NT LOL.

Much better for you, though. I mean, if you get Khazzouh to play for you, you will be hard to beat in Asia.

Due to SEA traditionally being weak with basketball, and Filipinos loving it so much, the Philippines is always the regional representative. Thailand is building and getting stronger though! Soon I'm sure things will change

China doesn't have a chance if you watched the Olympics last year. Even New Zealand is going to be tough for all Asian team to beat. China this year supposedly will field only "half" the team since there will be 2 national teams so it's even less competitive.

Most likely Australia will also field a "A/B" team but like you said they will still be favourites. The other teams will just battle for second place including NZL.
