Yuta Watanabe's George Washington will visit Japan in August and play a B National Team selection.

      Aug 13 - Tokyo
      Aug 16 - Osaka
      Aug 19 - Shizuoka

I think Watanabe will suit up for his school.

Its obvious Kanamaru is too one dimensional or ball magnet in Hasegawa's schem of things, he much preferes the smart shot making of the Furukawa and hiejima..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
          1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Both Furukawa and Kanamaru are the same. Spot up shooters and no ball handling so NO, Furukawa does not even have the decent ball handling to create his own shot. Same with Kanamaru.

Hiejima, Hirose and Tanaka are shot creators.

Plus Hasegawa's PnR offense consists of two wingers: flank shooters and shot creators. So if Tanaka and Kanamaru were healthy, Hasegawa would have taken them instead of Hirose and Matsui.

I dunno i always prefer kanamaru as streaky..it was evident in last jones cul and puts energy on offense that mades him aliability in the other end..

I just want to ask if why is takuya kawamura not in japanese national team? Is he too old or injured? If i remember correctly he was the best player in japan team back in 2011 in fiba asia china.. He was also part of the best 5 players in asia i think..

Nice to see Kosuke back on the team. Any reports about Takuya Kawamura. Since 2013 he literally disappeared from Japanese NT discussions.

Kawamura today is not the same player from 2009 - 2011 that made him a FIBA Asia top five selection.

                      2012 - Injury
                      2013 - NBA Summer League
                      2014 - Injury
                      2015 - Injury
2016 - Performance level. Main factor why he was cut.

Plus he has an attitude problem....

After the FIBA OQT, Japan will be sending a B Team to the William Jones Cup in Taiwan. Roster is still pending but it will most likely be college players and young players from the B-League Division I teams.
