Kind of. Relegated to Team B for a much lighter activity schedule as he is nursing several injuries. Same with Zhao Jiwei.

Good win despite shaky moments for China vs the USA select touring team. Wang Zhelin used his height and strength effectively in scoring baskets underneath. Shaky moments is when the team allowed USA several runs on account of turnovers. Zhou Qi has this motor that you would see him diving and fighting for possession like this was a big tournament.

All three games were in Changchun, Harbin China. Chinese swept the series 3-0 with Wang Zhelin playing consistently despite varying minutes of playing time. Zhou Yuchen also was efficient in his outing.

Yi Li will rejoin the national team in Beijing for practice. Yi Li was not with the team during the three game exhibition against the USA selection team as he was recovering from injury.

Yi Jianlian rejoined the national team over the weekend. Yi posted a picture of his practice jersey currently being used.

Gong Luming has been implementing defensive tactics for the national team. Gong praised Zhou Qi and Zhao Tailong for their consistency. Zhou, being one of the youngest is certainly the best shot-blocker. Zhao is a good two way player, able to defend and has solid offense skills.

China wins the first game over the visiting Lithuanian selection 74-70. Game was turnover prone for both teams. Gong Luming ran a fun to watch horns set with Yi Jianlian and Wang Zhelin as the wings and guards drove those screens to loops and cuts. Zhelin was assertive in this game, powering his way given a post-iso.

Yi Jianlian showed off some nifty post pivot shots. There were times where China was moving the ball fluidly thanks to the quarter-backing of Liu Wei and Zhao Jiwei.
