Btw, they say that if Unics comes from qualifications they will directly go to group C because in A and B groups there are already Russian teams and in group D there is Neptunas and it cannot be in the same group with Zalgiris, good news for us bad news for Group C teams. They already have the hardest group.

If Unics Kazan pass to Euroleague they will move to Group C because in A and B we have a Russian team already(Nizhny and Cska).
Can someone confirm this?
If it's true then Group C becomes a true monster.
Easy group for Olympiakos. We would take first place easily and it will be fun to play with our brothers from Serbia!

No it wont happen. Last year we talked about the same things too but Euroleague management said the groups wont change.

but that situation never actually happened so far, or did it? I cannot remember, when was the last time a team coming from QR made a confliction in regular seasons groups?

May be it didn't happen so far, but Euroleague clearly said that the qualifying team stays where it was drawn to. And by the way, the qualifying tournament is very late, the complete games of the regular season are already scheduled when the tournament is played. You can't switch after that anymore.

Group A easy for Real/Efes/Unics that will easily get 3 first spots.No idea who is gonna be 4th
Group B easiest of all...simply laughable.Cska/Maccabi/Malaga will get 3 first spot.4th place is open
Group C Barca/Fener/Panathinaikos are for sure on top 16.Last spot between EA7 and Bayern(i give more chances to EA7)
Group D Valencia/Olympiacos/Galata for sure on top 16.Last spot between Caja and Red star

It depends on B-licenses ranking. Two years ago Rytas was lucky to make it without qualifiers, last year they wasn't, this year Neptunas was lucky that there were not so much surprised in other leagues, so they made it as last team from B-licenses ranking

I hope that after the QR also real season euroleague games will be played in Oostende ;-) Good effort by the team to organise the QR and to give free entrance to the Oostende season ticket holders. Unics are clear favourite to win it, but just a reminder that only one team (Valencia) was able to beat Oostende on its home court last season. Oostende beat Cantu, Nymburk, Le mans, Cibona, Artland, Stelmet and...Unics.

As QR is very early in the season, it may be an advantage to play with almost the same squad as last season, as Oostende is expected to do. and finally, i think any team that is capable of winning the QR, will also compete for 3rd place in group A reugular season after Real and Efes.
