Hamed Haddadi is exploring options to play in China for the 2013-14 CBA season and asking over 1.2 million for his services. This is a heavy price tag for a CBA team considering that most team's import player budget is under 1 million USD per player (Each team is allow to have two import players except the Bayi Rockets, the military team which has none. Teams that finish in the bottom three of the league are allowed to have a third import player from an Asian country).
Only a few teams are paying players over 1 million per contract with Xinjiang Flying Tigers being the highest paying team.
If he is able to get this amount from a CBA team it would make him one of the top 10 highest paid players in CBA history:
Salaries of some players who played in the CBA are:
Von Wafer 2012‐13: 2 million USD - Xinjiang Flying TIgers
Quincy Douby 2012‐13: 1.5 million USD–Zhejiang Golden Bulls
Stephon Marbury 2011‐2012: 1.4 million USD–Beijing Ducks
Tracy McGrady 2012‐13: 1 million USD–Qingdao Eagles
