Potts benefits from the kick out pass of his PG teammates. He really is a good midrange shooter but for most unstoppable in college? It has to be Ben Mbala or Bright Akhuetie. For the local it has to be Jiovanni Jalalon.

        • What is Davon potts doing in the amateur leagues? In 2012 he was already in us ncaa.. should be in the pba already lol, its a slap to our homegrown college basketball to tag him as the best college player today where he was tagged as one due to technicality
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

                • So this means Tyler Lamb is eligible in FIBA Competitions as a local? are we gonna see a backcourt of Tyler Lamb, Justin Bassey and Freddie Goldstein (Thailand might use him as their Naturalized player) vs. Tolomia,Daquioag and Jalalon in next years SEA Games?

                  http://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/ne...azpi-road-game

Already featuring Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle, the Batang Pier backcourt gets a boost with the addition of Asian import Tyler Lamb, who has been declared eligible by the league after all, GlobalPort management confirmed.

Sought for comment, PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial explained that under league rules, an Asian import must not be naturalized and must have a certification that he is eligible to play for his country in Fiba-run tournaments.

SBP should look at this kids. Dalph Adem Panopio and Gabriel Vince Gomez, both are RP eligible and playing in Italy. 6'0 Guards. Gabriel Vince Gomez has the biggest potential. He was selected in First Mythical Five in National Finals of Italy.

Here's a link to it. just translate it in google.: http://www.pianetabasket.com/zoom/fi...asketcom-62953

Notice that 3 of the members of the First Mythical Five was in the Roster of Italy's U16 National Team. Gabriele Berra, Matteo Laganà, Federico Miaschi.

And also one player from the Second Mythical Five was in the Roster of Italy's U16 National Team also. ( Omar Dieng)

Making it to the the first mythical five in the national finals of Italy is no mean feat. To think that Italy is also a world basketball power. Although ranked only at No. 35 in the latest FIBA rankings (the Philippines, Iran & China are even ahead at No. 27, No. 25 & No. 14, respectively), we all know that Italy is stronger than any Asian countries. I believe Italy isn't so much inferior than the traditional European basketball powers Spain, Serbia, Lithuania or France or Greece.

So for Gabriel Vince Gomez to make it to the top 5 players in the youth level of Italy, then this kid must be special. And at 6-feet, he is a tall point guard by Filipino standard.

But I think the clincher is that, he is eligible under the stupid "Hagop rule".

So this is a U-14 tournament where Vince Gomez made it to the 1st mythical team? So meaning he is only around 13 to 14 years old & standing at 6-feet. Hope he can grow by 3 to 5 inches more and remain as a point guard.

But if the SEA Games is non-FIBA affiliated, then those Thai-Ams can all play together.

The SEA Games started using FIBA eligibility rules last year.

But yeah, a Thai roster with Lamb, Bassey, and Patiphan Klahan (6'9" Thai version of Raymond Almazan) cannot be overlooked.
