Milano and Prokom have A license..Milano was the 2nd of regular season and lost the final against Siena..And Prokom was the champion of Polish league..There is nothing wrong with them but although Unicaja hadnt even qualified to playoffs they placed in EL this year..So what is wrong with Roma? They have been out for 2 years.
Actually Prokom was the most unsuccesfull club in Europe for years..Arenot there any sanctions for such an unsuccesful team to be more competitive? Their current team cant be a good team even in Eurocup or Eurochallange..
Radnicki & Igokea direct spots in EL would mean a major headache for EL, maybe even rewriting their arena & proximity to int. airports laws
Oh, the mighty ULEB, the beacon of fairness, their strict policy regarding rules and regulations is well known. It's a shame that Igokea was played this way, they should have given a chance to participate because they were the best team whole season long. The other one should have been the F4 winner. ABA league was a great idea, that's turning into shit just because of the bad league management which badly needed restructuring and moving away from Jordi's field of influence.

hardly a salary cap is solution
If thats the case then either the salary cap has to be quite small so all 32 teams can be competitive and in this case the level of basketball will fall or the salary cap will be large ( say 30 million ) which would be no different of what we have now ( 7,8 teams with a 20-30million budget ) and lots of teams with a budget under 10millions
Current level of competitiveness in euroleague is quite decent actually but a few small changes like 1. Give more money from tv rights to the teams ( especially smaller ones so the can have a bigger budget ) 2. Give more money to teams that reach semifinals/F4 so they will have another reason to be competitive 3. Small teams that make it to euroleague should get an amount of money for "making it" to euroleague ( if for instance you give someone like red star 1 million for making it to euroleague while it might not be much it will allow them to get a couple of decent players ). Of course teams with A licence and rich teams like khimki are to be excluded from this

Don't worry, you won't see Asseco Prokom next year in the Euroleague:
1) they are the worst team in the Euroleague 3-year ranking (this allows the Euroleague to take away the A-license and Jordi will use this opportunity)
2) they did not have the minimum number of spectators (5000) for A-license teams
3) they don't have enough mony for an A-license team, too
So, forget about Asseco Prokom, they are history.
Maybe, they merge with Trefl Sopot and come back as Polish champion, but they won't have an a-licese any longer.
