    Default 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend

The NBA, prior to the season, has eliminated the category of the center position. In place instead are front-court players.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin is currently third in the voting for the guards in the western conference behind Kobe Bryant (639,419 votes) and Chris Paul (353,603).

Meanwhile, Ricky Rubio who hasn't played a single minute has more votes than Manu (same old Manu same old winning team) and Mayo (really playing well this year).

We all know already that this is a popularity contest and not about talent.

Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez was selected into the Eastern Conference All-star team as the replacement for the slot voided by Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo. Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving or Jrue Holiday of the Philadelphia 76ers are being considered to replace Rondo in the starting lineup.

Kevin Hart lead the West over East (58-38) in Sprint Celebrity Game to win the MVP of the game even though he wasn't the best basketball player from the celebrities but most certainly the MVP performer and entertainer.

The highlight of the game was when the fastest man on the planet, Usain Bolt, dunked (even though it was a clear travel )

As for the Rising Stars Challenge, Kenneth Faried had 40 points and 10 rebounds and entertained the crowd at the end with a series of dunks, leading Team Chuck to a 163-135 victory over Team Shaq.

Kyrie Irving pulled off some amazing crossovers as he dueled it out with Brandon Knight. This clip highlight was probably the most entertaining of the whole night.

Note: The 163 points scored were a new record as the previous most points scored by a team at the Rising Stars Challenge was 155.
