IMO this is the worst USA team over the last years. Just 68 Points in a game is kind of an blame and not typical usa style.

68 points is still respectable for USA. Defense has been good so far. Argentina scoring only 28 points is a let down to me, considering their fluid offensive pacing.

Argentina's Llorente, Sol Sancisi and Jourdheuil were contained. I also credit the defense for trying to disrupt the ball reversal plays and pacing of Argentina.

      Up next is Colombia (1-1).

In fact, it was a defensive game, where USA were excellent stopping any offensive effort of Argentina but shot very poorly (worse from 2-pt than from 3) but it's maybe too early to come to any conclusion- Stewart and Tuck are top world players in their age.
For sure the fact that USA started with a roster of 10 now reduced to 9 doesn't help !

USA winning against Colombia 87-36. Morgan Tuck lead the team with 17 points on 7-10 shooting. U.S. will next square off against the second-placed team in Group B on Aug. 18 at 8:15 p.m EDT. At stake is the gold medal game.

            Watched the game and appreciated:
            1) Fine US shooting from 3pts by Michaela Marbrey and Alexis Prince (yesterday's best imo)
            2) Finally two excellent penetration through the basket by Mo Jefferson
            3) Some incredible 3-pointers by Colombia Maria Tapias (one reminding ... Celine Dumerc)
            5) US team consistent defensive effort, surely much better than offense
            4) Bashaara Graves, on paper one of the top players, below the average

Breanna Stewart dnp the 2nd half (not sure if whole or part).

In semifinal 1, Argentina is surprisingly ahead over Brazil at half-time, 32-23.
Argentinian team displayed an intense game, while Brazil was disastrous in shooting in the first part of the period.

The final will be USA-Brazil, a classic.
Yesterday, US team rocked Canada with an outstanding performance of Morgan Tuck, Breanna Stewart and Bashaara Graves (finally). Michaela Marbrey again good on 3-pts shooting + 6 reb & ast, Lexie Brown 6 ast & 6 reb.

I respect your opinion but why would you think that USA vs. Brazil would be a classic?

In 2010 the USA beat Brazil 81-38 (different girls but still the same system/countries) and the USA is favored by 43.5 points today so they are expecting a score in the range of 85-43.

Just because it's a repeat of the Fiba Americas 2010 Junior and 2011 Cadet finals.
Then it's clear that the North Americans are heavily favored...

USA won its 6th straight U18 title beating Brazil 71-47.
It was not an easy win for the North Americans who terribly struggled in shooting in Q1 (7-16) and even trailed 7-18 shortly after.
Then the game changed completely during Q2 and thanks to a 19-0 run US team took the lead and never looked back.
4 US players scored in double digits, Michaela Marbrey, Morgan Tuck, Breanna Stewart and Bashaara Graves, the last three scoring doubles-doubles. Isabela Macedo was the game's high scorer for Brazil with 18. Stewart named tournament MVP and Tuck finished as her team's leading scorer.
USA won the final basically with 7 players. Already shortened during the tournament to 9, both Kendall Cooper and Candice Agee played just few minutes (for #15 Cooper it was probably due to an ankle injury, looking at her left foot in this after-game photo).
