    Default Euroleague 2012/13 teams

Could it be, Unicaja will play EL even if they finish 9th? Jordi says they must finish in first half of ACB, wich is 9th...lol

Valencia or Bilbao defenetley deserved to replace them

Last year Barca clearly tanked its last game before playoffs to get Malaga into Top8 .

This year Unicaja looks even worse then last year, but hell ... they've got 11k arena

I'm fairly sure it should be obvious by now that sport results matter really little to Mr Bertomeu...if that would be the case, we wouldn't see teams like Lottomatica or Prokom with A licenses.

Actually, very bad example. Lottomatica has already lost their licence, and Prokom will lose one this year.

    Are you sure ?

Roma ticket was cancelled because they dropped out of top8 in national league. On the other hand Prokom is expected to be a champ, unless aliens will invade or something .

Maybe their arena is small for A-license, but they have an option to relocate into 11k Hala Gdansk-Sopot.

Has nothing to do with the arena. They are the last of the 13 teams with licence, and they will lose it.

When was the last time EL didn't come with a new set of rules at the start of a new season :/

Even if the last year "rules" stay, there are a lot of other options:

    1) Unicaja won't make it top8 ACB, currently they are 11th : Unicaja loses A license

    2) Jordi says the ranking is based on attendance, TV ratings in addition to results criteria : go figure who survives

    3) Siena/CSKA refuses to move from its arena to meet EL 10k A-license criteria : Siena/CSKA loses A license

    4) ...

First A licsense is disgrace of basketball

2nd Galatasary don't deserve it. Only thing is should matter is result, and 1 decent year is not something should matter. Rest is capitalistic bullshit

If Unicaja doesn't win tomorrow at Bilbao, bye bye Euroleague for them.

    If Bertomeu doesn't avoid that...

It's not about how many per country (imo Unicaja doesn't deserve it, e.g.). What I'm saying is today is not logic to bring a license to a team who played only ONE SEASON in Euroleague. Maybe several years later, GS deserve it but today no.

I dunno if this text is still relevant :

With Maccabi not participating in the run for European tickets within ABA League the situation is as following:
    - One team from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia will get a spot in Euroleague
    - ABA League also has one place in Euroleague's qualifications
    - ABA League has two places in Eurocup

According to the current situation, when Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian teams already finished their competition season in European competitions as in national cups, it looks that Union Olimpija, Cedevita (Croatia) and Partizan (Serbia) are the closest to get a spot in Euroleague in 2012/13 season.

If this scenario will be confirmed through the national leagues, than Budućnost will get a spot in the qualifications for Euroleague while Široki and Cibona will play in Eurocup.

Everything will be known, when the play-off will start in all countries.

even more then it was back then

now there is no chance for cedevita to finish below 4th place in our champioship so they are sure no mather what. same is in slovenia and serbia

also few days ago kk split coach said if they finish 3rd they will probably get wc for eurocup i guess nikola vujcic has some conections that fixed this and they are now sure for 3rd spot with just crazy theory that zagreb or zadar win championsip can move them on 4th place
