Brooklyn Nets General Manager stated that the front-office is 100% behind acting head coach PJ Carlesimo. A lot of times, teams and players respond to a new coach with gleaming energy. I remember Carlesimo as a fiery head coach who yells a lot and expects rigorous fidelity to his system with the players. Must be something he learned under Gregg Popovich.

Though Carlesimo's last playoff stint as a head coach was back in the 90's with the Portland Trailblazers. From there, he went south to Golden State and they never made the playoffs. Also he coached the transitioning Seattle Supersonics into Oklahoma we know today.

Now with a loaded team albeit heavy expectations, Carlesimo's mettle will be tested as the February rush is approaching.
