Despite Lionel Hollins not coaching last night, Nets did run their flex offense with post continuity pegged at Brook Lopez, who looked aggressive and primed to score each time he was fed the ball. Problem was even when the double team is coming, Lopez would force a shot; hoping a foul call will bail him out. In a flex where 4 out is unfolding to either free up the low block or get to the weak sides, Lopez must learn to pass and not be fixated in scoring an easy one.

Mirza Teletovic seems to be coming along well, setting screens and quickly establishing a chaff block; primed for shooting. He put the finishing touches against Sacramento last night, first with a three pointer with 59 ticks left and that go ahead jumper; much to the delight of Paul Westphal. Bogdanovic got a massive amount of playing time and showcased some accuracy, but when a defender hones in, he is quite hesitant to take a two step dribble for a pass; often holding on and letting the defense sway him into ball protection.

Plumlee looked hyped as he was active on setting screens, but the zeal is not always fruitful as his screens aren't timed quite right, often setting up while the ball handler was still several feet away. Plumlee also tried to dribble attack, which is quite odd given the flex. His role was to be an active screener and dive for the hoop if he gets a clear cut for an entry pass.

Deron Williams and Lionel Hollins have a lot of work to do with this flex offense; there were instances where the ball was continuously being thrown back out, instead of the open wing or the cutter.

Spacing was effective with Lionell Hollins in tow with two bigs; similar to the hybrid flex and horns set he ran with the Memphis Grizzlies.
