EL playoff quarter-finals 2: Montepaschi Siena vs Olympiacos
Siena all the way.
For me with such roster and playing like that all period they go direct to the final.
Barca has nothing to do with previous seasons team

That's funny shit.I cant believe there are sports fans thinking like it.It's like Federer losing to random Japanese player in round 1 of French Open but tournament director stepping in and saying "hey it was a fluke win who wants to watch a random Japanese guy in next round,Federer qualifies"

Yeah, there can be some hidden reserve for Olympiacos in Siena's possible underestimation of them but still I think that Siena is a clear favourite. And it's a reality not only because of bigger budgets, more famed names and overall results stability in this season but also because of Siena plays much more team-oriented and well-organized bball than this year's Oly, for whom a place in QF can already be seen as some sort of success.
it seems we keep having the best derby in Europe with such teams
if OLY manage to surpass Siena will be a big success with such young and unexperienced roster

Impressive effort by Olympiacos, especially Printezis and Law for their efforts in the clutch. Ivkovic came up with a grandmaster strategy in order to isolate and limit Bo, whose strenght never was to get his teammates involved. The Reds' quick bigs were obviously capital to reach that goal. And all that in spite of Andersen looking better than Garnett and the refs clearly favoring the hosts. Hats off and I can not wait for the rest...
ps. Siena still are favorites in the series, but whoever expected them to advance easily was mistaken.
Most of us have been guilty of underestimating Oly this season. That said, this is only game 1 etc etc
But how well has Printezis been playing since he returned to Piraeus? Amazing.
I am wonder how they feel at malaga now.Printezis plays terrific from thefirst day in reds.while at malaga was a complete failure

Looks like it's going to be a five game series. Olympiacos has a chance to finish it sooner, but judging by this refereeing I am not sure they will get a chance.
Only very few teams manage to beat Siena in its home court. You need character to do that.
This is great for the youngsters. BTW Printezis has to be selected for the National Team. He's been a threat for other team the whole season.
