Question Question: Matches goes to overtime

Question about matches goes to overtime:

    Example Round 2, Week 5, Kazan - F.Ulker match:

For the ones who don't know the situation, if Kazan had lost with a difference under 6, Kazan would be qualified to top 8. until the last 20 seconds, Kazan was up 2 and Ulker had the ball. after missing 2 shots and having the offensive rebounds, emir hit the buzzer beater and match went to overtime.

Only an idea; if Kazan had intentionally let Ulker to score when 6-10 seconds left, is it possible after that basket, Kazan had started immediately and score a basket to their own hoop. so they would lost by 2, but still would guarantee to advance to the next stage?

I know this is not ethical, but is there a rule against this situation?

suggestion: the matches that go to overtime, should count for a win with 0.5 or 1 point to prevent such situations. (of course not talking about the matches of this year)

16.2.2 If a player accidentally scores a field goal in his team’s own basket, the goal
counts two (2) points and shall be recorded as having been scored by the captain of
the opposing team on the playing court.

16.2.3 If a player deliberately scores a field goal in his team’s own basket, it is a violation
and the goal does not count.

And its not Ulker... its Fenerbahçe

I wasn't sure, but my friend, who is ref told me so and I trust him

Btw, check 38.1.2 (Technical foul -> Rules of conduct), such shot surely is against this rule, so I guess this is why ref is allowed to give technical foul

well it didnt make sense to me because if a player deliberatly scores his own basket there is only 1 explanation for that= preventing overtime. So technical faul would be an award not a penalty^^ opponent team can make the free throw by accident

You like Ulker better, because FENERBAHÇE reminds you of all the losses you have.

    Keep on losing loser!
