I like the chances of Jon Tae-Pong making the final lineup as the sole naturalized player for the Olympic qualifying tournament. The national team needs a dynamic point guard with agility and ball handling to advance the ball effectively against the full-court press that could be used by Russia and the Dominican Republic.

As a sidenote, the young bigmen like Lee Jong-Hyun and Kim Jong-Kyu will only benefit even further in training alongside the seniors.

Lee Dong-Jun is not included and has not been called up for almost four years now. Same goes for Kim Min-Soo where on the past coaches like Yoo Jae-Hak and Hur Jae, Kim was not called up.

Training camp began yesterday and everyone was in shape but the program commenced with two days dedicated for conditioning.

Strength and weights training were given to youngsters like Kim Jong-Kyu, Lee Jong-Hyun, Kim Min-Gu and Kim Jun-Il.

That Johnson player that plays as a naturilize player for Korea. Is this Greg Johnson 198 cm, the same player that have play in Puerto Rico for Piratas de Quebradillas?

You mean Greg Stevenson? He has yet to suit up for the national team. His brother, Jarod Stevenson suited up last year. Greg spends most of his offseason in Puerto Rico for vacation.

Young players like Kyung Hee's Kim Jong-Kyu, Kim Min-Goo alongside Kim Jun-Il, Lee Jong-Hyun and Lee Seung-Hyun are training with the professionals. They are also being taught lessons by their elders on rounding off their game.

Kim Sun-Hyung serving notice his inclusion on the national team. Speed and the natural ability to finish during the drive.

Choi Jin-Soo can only get better as he trains and competes with the national team. Goyang Orions have a bright future with this guy. Choi is in redemption mode from his non-inclusion in 2008 towards 2010.

The team is progressing well with training. In the morning, warm-ups and jogging. Scrimmage just before lunch. During the afternoon, light scrimmage and weight training.

A set of drills for big-men training is conducted for Kim Jong-Kyu, Choi Jin-Soo and Lee Jong-Hyun.

Kim Joo-Sung changed his mind after some persuasion with fans and and teammates. In the last FIBA Asia Tournament, Kim wanted to call it quits as South Korea could not directly qualify. Lee Sang-Beom apparently had a talk with the veteran and said that Kim can offer so much more given his age.

That convinced Kim to participate in the national team once again despite his inclusion for the twelve man roster not guaranteed. As of late, Kim is helping the young big men through his mentorship.

thanks ckr13.. how many naturalized players are actively participating in the preparations now? and who do you think deserves the spot? I think Lee Seung Jun deserves the spot since he has been with the team since last year and yet he wasn't chosen for last year's fiba asian championship games.
