Only Lee Seung-Jun and Jeon Tae-Pong are the only naturalized Koreans in the player pool. What makes Lee Seung-Jun's inclusion not a sure thing is that there are a lot of young bigmen in the pool that are sure investments for the future. Kim Jong-Kyu and Lee Jong-Hyun primarily.

While in the case of Jeon Tae-Pong, the pool's point guard depth is somewhat shallow as this team is in needing of another point guard that can survive full-court pressure. Lee Sang-Beom has the option in tapping Yang Dong-Geun and Jeon. Then there are candidates like Park Chan-Hee, Kim Tae-Sol and Kim Sun-Hyung.

In fairness to both, they have been present in the training since day one. Both are deserving but only one has a slot.

good point.. In my opinion, one of S. Korea's weak points is the PG position. After Yang Dong Geun that is. I think Jeon Tae-Pong is a good choice for the NT.

Yang Dong-Geun and Kim Joo-Sung leads a young team. Lee Sang-Beom said that the presence of Yang and Kim is vital for the development and chemistry of the young players. Lee assigned Yang to mentor the guards and Kim will mentor the forwards and centers.

Lee Sang-Beom decided not to field any naturalized Korean and instead chose depth in the guard rotation wherein Yang Dong-Geun is the primary point guard and Kim Tae-Sol as the reserved. Interestingly, Lee converted Kim Sun-Hyung and Park Chan-Hee as shooting guards wherein Kyung-Hee's Kim Min-Koo is the third stringer.

In the forwards, Yoon Ho-Young and Yang Hee-Jong are primary small forwards to start while Choi Jin-Soo will be a power forward as a reserve to Kim Joo-Sung. Kim Dong-Uk is reserved forward who will be playing a third string for SF.

Plenty of bodies in the center department, bannered by Kim Jong-Kyu, Kim Jun-Il and Lee Jong-Hyun. All are fledgelings in the senior's competition.

One thing is that the two guards seem undersized. Kim Sun-Hyung especially. Lee wants Park Chan-Hee to shoot instead of directing plays. While Kim Min-Koo is still inexperienced, but could prove to be a good learning curve out of this experience.

Kim Jong-Kyu and Kim Min-Koo, the dynamic duo of Kyung-Hee are off to great careers in the KBL.

Do u think Choi Jin-Soo and Kim Jong-Kyu can be better than Kim Joo-Sung in the future? And can Lee Jong-Hyun be better than Kim Jong-Kyu? And can Kim Jun-Il and Kim Seung Hyun improve to the level of Oh Se-Keun ?

Tough question. Kim Joo-Sung in his prime was simply incomparable due to his rare combination speed, athleticism and offense / defense skills. Kim's mold was unprecedented some years ago. On Choi Jin-Soo and Kim Jong-Kyu, time will tell if they can come close to the offensive arsenal that Kim possessed. Both will also have to develop to the level of defense that Kim had.

On Lee Jong-Hyun and Kim Jong-Kyu, both play differently. Lee is a pure center with strong bigman fundamentals while Kim is more of a modern-mobile center that loves to play face-up against the basket. At the moment, both has potential.

Kim Jun-Il is different from Oh Sek-Eun. Kim is more of a finesse bigman while Oh uses athleticism and bulk to make up for his short frame. Lee Sang-Beom once said that if only Oh was 6'10, he would have been in the NBA.

HOW is Kim Seung Hyun? I found he played better than Kim Jun-Il in junior NT and university. But he is eliminated this time.

Do you mean Kim Sun-Hyung (Seoul SK Knights)? He plays more of a slashing guard than a facilitating point guard. In this venture, Kim would be playing shooting guard.

Kim Joo-Sung and Oh Sek-Eun are missing several scrimmages due to their injuries. Kim has a nagging knee pain while Oh with a sore ankle. Props to Lee Seung-Jun for volunteering despite his non-inclusion with the national team's fifteen man squad as Lee has been practicing the bigman prospects on scrimmages.

It was really Lee Sang Beom's call. I would have personally preferred Lee over Kim Jun-Il. Though Lee said that it was tough cutting Lee Seung-Hyun, Lee would still have his chances in the future as long as he develops.

If Kim Joo-Sung's knee would not improve prior to the departure of the squad to Puerto Rico, it is likely that Lee Seung-Jun will be the replacement.
