    • The New Jersey Nets have entered a single affiliation agreement with the Springfield Armor. Last winter, both Philadelphia and New Jersey sent players to Springfield and with this development, the 76ers are forced to find a new affiliate.

    • The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed with the Maine Red Claws to enter a co-affiliation with Maine. Maine now services the Boston Celtics, Charlotte Bobcats and Philadelphia.

    • The Utah Jazz have announced that it will enter a co-affiliation with the Idaho Stampede. Utah joins the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trailblazers to be co-affiliates. Utah was forced to search for a new affiliate after their sole affiliate, the Utah Flash was for sale and will take a leave for the NBA D-League 2011-2012 Season.

Hornets to setup exclusive D-League franchise in the future

According to the President of the New Orleans Hornets Hugh Weber, the Hornets are looking to establish in the future an exclusive D-League franchise for the Hornets that will be based in Louisiana.

          Weber was quoted in Hornets247.com:

"If we send a player down to a shared team there’s no advantage. Having a D-League team owned and operated by the franchise allows far more control over player development, and having the team in-state would increase competition and interest and bodes well for nervous Hornets fans. This single-affiliation model is slowly taking root, though most D-League teams are still linked to multiple NBA franchises."

Nancy Leiberman moving to front-office roll with Legends - Jul 18, 2011 (by Eurobasket News)

A year after taking the the Dallas Mavericks' D-League affiliate, Texas Legends, to the playoffs last year, Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman will assume a front-office position with the team, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

Leiberman informed ESPNDallas.com on Sunday about the move, saying she 'debated the switch for weeks' and decided to move to the personnel part of the organization due to family reasons.

Leiberman also said in the report that she wanted to be there for her son's, T.J. Cline, senior year at Plano West.

According to the report, D-League sources said Leiberman will named assistant general manager as early as Monday and will work along side Legends president Spud Webb.
