If there would be a peaceful democracy Israel would be the most happy about it.

Nobody even speak about the forces that exist inside Egypt, nobody analyze the political situation there, who might try to take control there. Just Israel vs the Egyptian people.

LOL at calling Slavoj Zizek "the guy from Ljubljana"... Of course he is only next to Chomsky one of the greatest thinkers of our time, but hey he is just the guy from Ljubljana. Just like Sigmund Freud was just the guy from Vienna, Immanuel Kant was just the guy from Germany and Lacan was just the guy from France etc...

That just proves that today in order to be advanced, to get the name and to be heard you don't have to be smart or follow the facts but to have the "right views"

Yeah sure... It wouldn't hurt you to study his views a bit before you judge them...

I had enough hearing his of-topic crap in this one and reffed to them only... not speaking about that bringing Israel into this was of-the-original-topic from the first place.
He was disgusting, spoke with hate and he told nothing with intellectual value (as I explained in my first post about this video).

If you want to have an opinion about a complex topic I would suggest you to study the topic instead of basing it on so-called intellectual all-know gods.

ip84, you are the only one talking here with hate. Rest don't have the right to have their own opinions about the situation? The only right opinion is the one given by you?

Reading the comments below the video - people aren't so onedimensional and stupid as the world seems. Some also use the brains. Makes me happy for a while.

Sorry for not liking somebody who lie about me and about what I think...

As I tried to said before, listening to people that you think that they use a brain should not dismiss a person to use his own brain.

So, it means if I listen to the world renowned philosopher I agree with him on all he says?

Come on. I even don't like the guy.

I have to say I agree with him about what the told on that video, but believe me I don't like a lot of what he preaches...

Yeah the same who is not with me is against me bullcrap. If you would only take a minute of your day and stop bashing someone who doesn't agree with you 100% you would find out he agrees with you 60% but what ever... It is easer to just attack right...

But what did he say in this video?
The only thing he said is that there is something else beside western democracy and rule of the Islamic brotherhood, he didn't even say what, and he didn't explain why he is sure 100% that this is what is going to happen.

And then he brought up Israel in the end, while Israel despite the people have concerns, officially decided to keep silence and only state that whoever govern Egypt we just hope that the peace agreement with Egypt will be kept. And the concerns (of the people here, not officially) are not because we like Mubarak or what he does to his own people, but because we don't know what is going to happen. Nobody does right now.

he is a anarchist lunatic that didn't yet get over the collapse of communism... in 1917 that is... considering his widely praised IQ, I can't believe a person can be as stubbourn and narrow-minded as he can ussualy be.

Liberation? I say, save the people from liberating themselves, they don't know what is coming for them... I'll keep this last sentence in my mind for the next two or three years and we'll see who'll be right, Slavoj "the stalinistic genius" Zizek or me.

In case I'm right, that would be a freaking shame and just promise you will never again call him one of the greates thinkers of all time in that case

You do realize that you call him an anarchist AND a stalinist in the space of two sentences, don't you?
As for "saving people from saving themselves" perhaps you'd like to be the one that does it for them....
    Talking about narrow-mindedness...

    LOL.

Over in the U.S. liberalism, communism, socialism, fascism, progressivism, Marxism and anarchism all mean the same thing.

I wonder if the wikileaks contributed somehow to all that is happening.

At least it can be said that Julian Assange is the only one who predicted the revolutions, he was speaking about "wikileaks revolutions".

The situation in Libya is a tragedy and disaster

    http://www.todayonline.com/World/EDC...s-machine-guns

I sure hope the citizens of Libya know how crazy their leader Gadhafi is....

I mean the guy has hired mercenaries from other African countries to kill his own people and he will kill each and everyone who will stand in his way

I don't know if he has hired more virgin bodyguards to protect him though..

    Bodyguards:

Gaddafi's choice of bodyguards has been the subject of much media attention. His 40-member bodyguard contingent, known as the Amazonian Guard, is entirely female. All women who qualify for duty supposedly must be virgins, and are hand-picked by Gaddafi himself. They are trained in the use of firearms and martial arts at a special academy before entering service

WTF? I can maybe understand the Italians part, but Turks!?

Anyway, I hope the Libyans make Gaddafi pay for what he's done to them.

Maybe he was referring to the days when Libya was under Ottoman rule in the 1500's (even though this lasted till the early 1900's)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Libya

Well unfortunately today aircrafts and tanks were being used to bomb civilians but since there is no valid media coverage to provide us with full details we can't know the exact number of casualties even though some figures mentioned that those who were killed were in the hundreds.....
