  • Syrian League

    -12 Teams will participate:

    Jaish "Damascus" - Holders -
    Wahda "Damascus"
    Kassiyoun "Damascus"
    Jalaa "Aleppo"
    Ittihad "Aleppo"
    Hurriya "Aleppo"
    Yarmouk "Aleppo"
    Wathba "Homs"
    Karamah "Homs"
    Talia "Hama"
    Mehrde "Hama" - Promoted from the 2nd Division -
    Nawair "Hama" - Promoted from the 2nd Division -

    -League System :

    -Regular Season:
    -Each team will play 22 matches
    -The first 8 teams will qualify to the Final 8 Playoff
    -The last 4 teams will play avoiding relegation Playoff.

    Playoff :

    -Final 8

    Best of 5
    Game 1 - 1st Vs 8th
    Game 2 - 2nd Vs 7th
    Game 3 - 3rd Vs 6th
    Game 4 - 4th Vs 5th

    -Final 4
    Best of 5
    Winner Game 1 Vs Winner Game 4
    Winner Game 2 Vs Winner Game 3

    -Avoiding Relegation
    Best of 5
    Game 1 - 9th Vs 12th
    Game 2 - 10th Vs 11th

    -Losers to the 2nd Division

    -The League will start on November 22
    -The Cup will start on October 15.

    Jaish

    -Jaish signed with Wahda's former player Shadi Lebs (200-C-86) a contract for two years.
    -Jaish signed with Ittihad's former player Iyad Hilani (197-F-87).
    -Chris Charles (213-C/F-81) renewed with Jaish for the next sesaon.

    Jalaa

    -Coach Razkallah Zaloum signed with Jalaa.

    Wahda

    -Sharif Al-Sharif (188-G-78) returned to his former team and signed with Wahda for 3 years.
    -Wahda signed with Ittihad's former player Mohammed Kahat.

    Ittihad

    -Samir Al-Daks (197-F-84) renewed his contract with Ittihad for 4 seasons
    -Ittihad name Alaa Jokhji as new coach.
    -Ittihad Management decided not to renew for Anas Shaban and Mohammed Al-Ashtar (183-G-82)

    Wathba

    -Wathba signed with Tishreen's former player Somer Khouri (192-F-82) a contract for two years.
    -Wathba name Ahmed Fadhel as new coach.

      -Jaish players' Ahmed Kazeha(194-G) ,Imad Hassaballah and Hozaifa Al-Maleh (185-G-86) moved to Wahda in loan deal.

      Wathba

      -Wathba signed with Ittihad's former player Anas Shaban (180-G)

                FIBA-ASIA decided to ban Micho from playing for 1 year because he insulted and threw a bottle of water on the referee of Iraq - Syria match in Stankovic Cup.

                      Do u know by any chance when is the tournament supposed to start and where will they be playing in Sharjah (which court?)

                        Frans had tryouts with Sagesse and was really awfull I hope Jalaa don't sign him.

                        Al Jalaa were scheduled to have a game against Lebanese Champions AL Riyadi Beirut on Monday.

                          It will be on Sharjah Club near the Cricket stadium.
