Yes, that was an offer the Kings did not want to match. Still, Rondo gets what he wants in the end: Being a leader and getting paid like one. Hopefully his image improves. Right now, PG spot is open to Darren Collison despite his domestic arrest and Kings just rescind the qualifying offer for Seth Curry. Not looking good at all, but rumors of Bledsoe or Knight could be in tow for a trade.

Was supposed to be an exhibition of sets but Barnes wanted something extra for the game and gave out early regular-season fouls.

Kings managed to hang around with the Warriors who were executing uninspired and sloppy, leading to a number of quality possessions that the Kings managed to convert on. But the Kings too were sloppy, often attributed to players not being able to react given Joerger's careful transition from free-flowing to his grounded 2-3 cover offense. Essentially, Kings had no answer to Durant: 25pts in 26mins.

Much like the pre-season game against the Lakers, this game was won by the Warriors reserves versus the Kings reserves.

First ever game played at the Golden1 center between the Kings and the visiting Maccabi Haifa.

Cousins and Koufos starting and the tandem worked on a 2-3 post detach scheme similar to the Randolph - Gasol tandem back in Memphis. Koufos worked the weak-side through those imbalance screens that either lead to a transition outlet or a shallow corner rotate for a three point shooter. Cousins was pinned right at the strong-side, also ducking and getting touches for short bursts of barrel rolling.

Good game from Tolliver. Played C or PF and was our main catch and shoot big man through trailer plays designed by Joerger mainly for Cousins. McLemore looked more focus in a less scrambled offense, able to see and make flash cuts leading to open or easy baskets.

Good win to start the season against the Suns. Offense was active in utilising Joerger's 2-3 zone attack which was facilitated by Lawson and McLemore. Probably the best team game in a very long time for this team. Defense was disruptive, active and pesky that caused a number of TOs versus the Suns.

Spurs will be a test tonight.

Not quite there yet as the momentum was busted up by Kawhi Leonard who ripped away the ball twice from the wobbly handles McLemore to drive the Spurs momentum. This is the kind of sustain offense fueled by ball movement and chemistry that the Kings must work on by merging deeper within Joerger's offense.

It was a disappointing loss in terms of keeping pace but it is a learning experience from the model team like the Spurs.

With the completion of the NBA D-League draft, Kings most likely will allocate Papagiannis and Labissierie to Reno for a couple of games. Joerger pretty much runs a depth of Cousins, Koufos, Cauley-Stein and Tolliver.
