IMO, Flamengo is the brazilian club with less chances. They´ll play without Marcelinho and Baby and they werent playing that good.

The other teams has chances. Brasilia still strong, but will have to face argentines fans.

Franca is a contender from brazilian group, since they´re just terrific playing in Pedrocão. Pinheiros has maybe the best starting five of the NBB. It´ll be interesting see Figueroa play against his former team Atenas.

I'm with planaria. I'm pulling for Pinheiros, since I'm a fan, but Franca has the best shot playing at home. As for the Argentinian teams, I can't really give a knowledgeable guess.

Pinheiros/Sky claimed their third straight win at the Interligas Tournament in Group B. They shot down Atenas to clinch the top position in the pool and advanced into the championship clash. Pinheiros/Sky will take on Obras Sanitarias for the trophy on April 21. Shamell Stallworth (196-F-80, agency: Interperformances, college: USF) fired 36 points to lead the Brazilian team to the victory against Atenas. Pinheiros/Sky led by 6 points after ten minutes but Atenas stayed close in the second frame. They narrowed the deficit at just two points 40:42 at the interval. Atenas got within a single point with ten minutes left in the game. But Pinheiros/Sky relied on Shamell Stallworth who paced the Brazilian side to a vital win at the end. Marquinhos Vinicius (207-F-84) added 18 points, while Olivinha Rodriguez (202-F-83) provided 14 points in the win. Matias Lescano (196-G/F-79) replied with 19 points for Atenas. Miguel Gerlero (192-G-88) chipped in 16 points in defeat.

Vivo/Franca wrapped up their Interligas Tournament campaign with a loud victory. They stormed past Libertad for 1-2 record. Dede Stefanelli (196-F/G-84) came up with 16 points to pace well-balanced effort from NBB regular season champions. Vivo/Franca established a 10-point lead at halftime. They went on a 26:16 run in the third term and cleared off for good in this one. Marcio Dornelles (194-F-75) provided 15 points, while William Drudi (206-C/F-81) added 14 points in the winning effort. Roberto Gabini (198-F-75, agency: Interperformances) replied with 14 points for Libertad. Robert Battle (204-C-81, agency: Dream Team Management, college: Drexel) had 10 points in the loss.

Pinheiros is for real this year. They improved a lot regarding last two years, is it the coach? If they keep going like this they'll certainly join the group of Brasília, Flamengo and Franca as the greats of Brazilian basketball.

They put some real money to get a pretty good squad. I think it's more about the quality of the players than the coach, althought he is doing a good job as well.

Much more players than the coach (still young, learning and a bit imature). They have add Figueroa, Marquinhos and Bruno Fiorotto. Three great starters to their team, plus a good bench player in André Góes.

They had already enough talent to be Top 5 in Brazil with Olivinha, Shamell and Morro.

But, they still need to get more depth to their roster. Beside Góes and Morro, they dont have any real talent in the bench.

Flamengo declined participating, Paulistano is in.

Argentinian teams will be known on 11th March.

Tournament will take place from 20th to 27th March.
