Fadi El-Khatib news
Khatib signs contract with Sagesse club
August 3, 2005

Fadi Khatib

While Riyadi club tends to negotiate with its traditional rival, Sagesse club, the conditions related to national player signing of two different contracts, the green team’s club insisted that Khatib signed the contract in the Lebanese Basketball League.

While Riyadi club expressed great distress as to what has been agreed upon assuring that it will go forth with the law suit, Sagesse refused to make any statement.

Riyadi club assured that the two clubs are on good terms but the problem is with Khatib and the Lebanese Champions will settle the matter in court.

After all the rumors this summer, the Asian Championship MVP finally finished the deal with Sagesse. This is good for the FLB. With Vogel and Fadi on opposite teams, next year will be a lot of fun for basketball fans.

Even though I don't know anything about Lebanese basketball, here is my list of the Top 5 Lebanese ballers:

Fadi El Khatib - Michael Jordan says he should be in the NBA after a training session in Chicago
Big Joe Vogel - size and skill
Paul Khoury - strong as a tree
Ghaleb Rida - good scorer, good defender
Brian Beshara - played against and with future NBAers at LSU, led LSU in the incredible 2001 upset over Kentucky by locking down Tayshaun Prince and getting 3 steals against himCan I still put Rony Seikely on the list? http://www.interbasket.net/talk/images/smilies/tongue.gif
