yes, we do need them...no doubt about it...

many people or players back in PI are complaining about it but none of them are showing or doing anything to prove that they deserve a slot in the team... theyre all talk but cant walk the walk....

yes...he played with Laguna Lakers in the defunct MBA. Just a reminder that the list contains only those from California State.

Talent-wise, there's really no difference among Fil-Ams and homegrown. The Fil-Ams advantage is their experience of higher quality of game where they play against bigger and quicker opponents (6-3 above). While the locals played in local leagues (not PBL) where mostly, average height is less than 6 feet...much more in barangay leagues

Theres so many many smaller Fil-Am players! Many under 6'3 height. The priority is must recruiting atleast US-basedplayed 6'11 players.

Talentwise, theres more Fil-ams and homegrown players are same level. We check our statistics and what level they had played? The teams of higher rank and lower rank from division 1, division 2, & division 3.

If lower rank division 1 team played and ave. atleast 20pts its a same level our homegrown players

The higher rank division 2 team are same level of lower rank division 1.

If higher rank division 1 team and he played atleast in sweet16 team and he ave. of alteast 20 pts he will be a NBA potential star players.

If higher rank division 2 team and ave. of under 10pts a game, a player same level of PBA bench player.

If higher rank division 3 team and he ave. of 25 pts a game, a same level of PBA star.

                .
                Excellente.

US local leagues may provide some good training and skills improvement for our homegrown boys. In the same manner, US-born Pinoys/Fil-Ams can provide the PI leagues and its players some good competition and challenge. And vice versa. It can always be a mutual thing.

nice to hear that there are alot of fil-ams are shoo-ins in the PBA and the PBL or even in the rp team. but we need to remember that we haven't seen these fil-ams play. there were so many fil-ams before that were only good in newspapers but not in the real games. they were outhustled by the local bred pinoys because talentwise, we can match up with them. however, trainings and height is were what we lag behind.
SBP should invite these fil-ams not just in the california but all those in the US or even the world to try their luck in the philippines. they can play in the PBL, MBVA, NBC, CESAFI, UAAP or NCAA and then in the PBA. through this way, we can simply pick the best and mix it with the local talents then send them to train in the US or in europe.
those people who are lambasting the fil-ams and the other foreign players as well as the proposed or suggestion to hire or naturalized a tal player are hypocrites. they can't even do something for the team because they themselves doesn't know how to play basketball.
this is what brought down the philipppines, to much ego and pride.

with the california list of fil-ams and if they are really good i think we will only be improving in the 1 & 2 positions which we are in abundance right now..what we need for the good of philippine basketball is the 4&5 positons..unless we develop the 6'6s and 6'7s to nowitzki type of player..
