    I saw a part of live-phone interview by host Mr. Bill Belasco in ANC channel rp-trained basketball makes it to the NBA.I wonder who was it? 6'11 Japeth Aguilar was being mentioned and also Gian Chiu...

      u mean RP-trained basketball player?
      It's ironic to see limited efforts from players with maximum salary.
      I wish they would apply "sabermetrics" in those financially challenged PBA teams to acquire players who are value for their money.

          before, they already report about 1st filipino... but it's not NBA but US NCAA

                  just saw the news clip today also in ANC. a 6'11" who was trained in the philippines was signed by the LA Lakers. apparently he will be the first philippine trained player to ever play in the NBA.

                  i just dont have the exact details yet. hope someone will give it.

                      EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles Lakers have signed free agent center Larry Turner, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
                      Turner, a 6-11 center from Tennessee State, averaged 5.8 points and 6.1 rebounds as a senior.
                      Turner played for the Lakers 2007 Summer-Pro League team, averaging 7.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in five games.

                          yes, he was trained in the philippines by Kirk Collier, the skills coach of brgy. ginebra kings and san miguel beermen, also red bull before.

                              WTF! I trained him during my short stint in the Phil. last week, we spent 4 days of training in Manila, Ayala Alabang specifically, and 3 days of training in Shangri-la Cebu. Damn it, here you filipinos go agian with your MF'en ego!....
