Shun patriotism, shun favoritism, shun fanaticism, in your own conviction are we really " WORLD CLASS " when it comes to the game of basketball? how can you tell that were really world class, since we didnt get any top place in any global or international ballgames? no olympic gold, no world championship trophy?

We'll you're right. We are not getting any now adays. But then, we must also think of what happened to the basketball program in the country. We were not sending our strongest teams in the past years and we are not giving much emphasis on national team training. So for now, it's far from us to be world class, honestly.
Well, we can't win olympics and world champs now. Same with australia, canada and other strong teams, although world class already, still can't win big competitions out there. They can't get any trophy in these games. But you might have used the wrong tense bro, you said "DIDN'T" which denotes past tense. Then with that, expect history lessons from some of our kababayans here. I don't want to start it out. hehehehehe. Please visit -->THE IGNORED GENIUS

We're struggling to be Asian class in Basketball, so how much more "World Class"?
Still, loving a sport isn't necessarily about excelling in it in all levels.

Ermz, yes. I admit, Philippine Basketball doesn't provide a world class caliber act. We don't even top in any international games as of the moment but I believe that the ardent love of Filipinos for this sport is the thing that makes Philippine Basketball alive and some sports officials brainstorm for its improvement. True, we're not the cream of the crop when it comes to this sport but we are definitely topnotchers in loving basketball.

World Class Fans!!!
One thing's sure though, that the FILIPINOS are WORLD CLASS BASKETBALL FANS!! ! And im proud to be one.
And about being world class, im not sure how you see it. If we had just qualified for example to the olympics thru last FIBA games, will that mean that we are world class already? And if ever we beat some world caliber teams like Lebanon for example, does that mean that we are world class already? I think maybe yes, maybe not. It all boils down to consistency. How can we be sure that we are consistent if it's just the first FIBA game that we have joined anyway after 2 yrs of suspension? Well, definitely, everybody we'll say that were not yet there. Not for now. Maybe a few years from now. Please visit -->THE IGNORED GENIUS
