    SG J.Yap
    SG Parks
    SG Lassiter

    I think Ramos is too small to pay 4 and doesn't have the quickness and handles to play 3 Internationally.

      Complete overhaul?? NO WAY! We'll be like starting from scratch again.. Retain some players who were really big in their run: Casio, Lassiter, Baracael (who should really be played as a 3) among others.. Retain players with great potential: Slaughter, Aguilar, Ramos.. Then if they are up to the task already, the young guys: Ravena, Parks, Ferrer, etc..
      Philippines is in National Team transition mode.

        How about stanley pringle..he moves impressively..has ball-handling skills, shoots well & create his own shots. Though not a high-flyer, he plays better for a fil-am
        “I think our point guards are small,” “Not to say that our point guards are not good, but I believe that we need bigger point guards.”

        Wanted: Philippine version of Jordan's talented backcourt tandem of 6'5" Sam Daghlas & 6'4" Rashem Wright

          who ever the next batch of players are the most important thing is for the SBP to make sure that there is a continuity in the program. that's how china improved tremendously. That's how iran become the asian champs. Continuity with the program is the key. We may not win the gold medal in wuhan or even the bronze but as long as there is a continuity in the program we will definitely improve until the time we can regain the top spot.

            There would be no continuity if players turned pro.

              same exact line up for the future PHL team.
              as we know ravena, amer are part of gilas team but didnt include in the said team because the team is getting 4 players from PBA. but for the future, they probably include parks, banchero, ravena, taha, amer. we probably see barroca, ababou being drafted to the PBA. J-ball might pursuit of it.

                ^Again, the core of the "next bloodline" will depend on the contract of the current players. And again, how schools will treat their players if they are indeed to be considered for a future national team (won't say Gilas because it might as well be another sponsor shouldering the expenses)

                We will see (after September probably?)

                    well we're not an islamic republic or a people's republic to impose such laws on our land. Even having sensible laws here in PHl, our government can't even enforce them since we have weak police force and an utterly slow courts here in the country.

                        then email your suggestion to SBP then, actually in other countries, the government funds the bulk of their NT's budget so the player's loyalty goes to the government rather than their clubs. Sadly, our government has shallow pockets in order to provide even for the education sector and health care.

                              Sun Cellular- Sinag Pilipinas 2012?

                              Form unconfirmed news articles, reports suggest that the following might apply for this year's PBA draft.
                              1. Lassiter
                              2. Lutz
                              3. Barroca
                              4. Baracael
                              5. Casio
                              6. Ababou

                              In preparation for the reloading of the national team if either we qualify for London 2012 or not, let me propose the future composition of the national team.

                              C- Slaughter (ADMU)- develop low post moves and rebounding, consistent 15ft jumper
                              PF- Agular (TnT)- develop power moves and consistent 3pt shot and under the basket work ethic of Nonoy Baclao (ADMU 2008-2009)
                              SF- Parks (NU/Georgia Tech)- defensive stopper and 3pt shooting
                              SG- Tiu (ADMU) veteran voice, presence and leadership
                              PG- Ravena (ADMU) - high basketball IQ, deadly medium range and 3pt shooting

                              C- Douthit (Providence)- back-up center, intangibles, 7 footer
                              PF-Ramos (FEU)- 3pt shooting and medium range consistence, rebounding
                              SF- Salva (ADMU)- defense, faster and speedier, set screen and rolls
                              SG- Silungan (UP)- defense, 3pt shooting (Lutz and Lassiter redux)
                              PG- Garcia (FEU)- consistent shooter, improve perimeter defense

                              SF-PF Devance (Alaska) mini Melo, sub to Salva
                              SF-PF Washington (San Miguel) mini LeBron, sub to Parks
                              PG Tenorio (Alaska) 3pt shooting, up tempo QB, annoy oher counties'PGs
                              C Fajardo (UC)- post up defense and rebounding, size of frontcourt
                              SG-SF Newsome (New Mexico)- lutz and lassiter redux 2.0
                              Pg-SG Norwood (Rain or Shine) - tall point guard/point forward, for defense and shooting.

                              Also for consideration
                              * Van Opstal (DLSU)
                              * Torres (DLSU)
                              * Acibar (UE)
                              * Taha (MIT)
                              * Sanngalang (SSC-R)
                              * Teng (UST)

                              What do you think?
                              Peace out!

                                whatever we do if all the organization and people involve in basketball are not united our dream going back to the olympics or to the world championships will forever stay as a dream.

                                just imagine if the PBA can readily lend it's players to the national cause without thinking of it's revenue plus these fil-foreigners that we have can surely form a very competitive teams. we can cover up the lack of height with speed and cohesiveness. i observe middle east teams rely mostly on their hight and bulk. they only have 2-3 go to guys on their team and rest are role players who are able to do job perfectly.

                                any RP NT team created today consistenting of PBA and Gilas and other upcoming players can surely make some noise and beat the best in asia if we are all united.
