Thanks for your help.

I searched a bit, goalzz.com, asia-basket etc...and id thought i remember correct that 2007 the tournamend was played in Jordan.

My fault.

Generell i have a question i heard a lot about it that in african soccer tournaments often soccer organizations corrupt referees, is there a similar tendency at basketball?

UAE 71 / Lebanon B 68

Lebanon is playing with a team madeup of players under 23 , and this is a very good result for them , and this is good for the future.
I think if we really played with a B team. players like Rami akiki, Moe ibraheem, Galeb Rida, Ali Fakkereddine, Vogel, Mario Abboud, Elie stephanie, jihad almur and alot of talented players that lebanese league have we can win this tournament, but anyway these players whom are playing will gain experience and hopefully they will be in Lebanon NT in the future
GOOOOOOO LEBANON =)

Man that thing happens everywhere even in the NBA it happened in 2002 or 2003 between the Lakers and the Kings as I remember in the playoffs due to some orders from outside the League so that they can make the fans watch more games and make the League more entertaining.

Good result for Lebanon.. Remember this is very young team..
Wish this team becomes excellent in the future if and in case of IF they keep performing to enchance their skills and hardworking

Good Luck Lebanon,... Not Bad

Tough luck for Lebanon. I think this was their easiest game since the UAE NT on paper is the weakest team from the group.

I hope they can recover and try to get at least 1 win.

Are there any other sites to check information, news and results about asian and african basketball besides asia-basket.com and goalzz.com??

"Libya overcame Lebanon for the second straight Jul 18, 2009 (by Eurobasket News)

Libya overcame Lebanon 78:46 for the second straight win at the tournament. It was not that easy win for the team as they started only with 12-10 after the opening quarter. Moreover Lebanon managed to win the second quarter 16-12 to be the leader at the halftime. Libya however exploded with 31-6 in the third period for the full control in the court and won the second game. They added 22-12 in the last period to clinch the win. On July 19th Libya will play against Algeria that is 1-1 in the standings. Lebanon will play against Syria tonight".

It will be very difficult for us to get even 1 win in the Arab Cup. Libya (I read that they have nationalized a bunch of players other than Alpha Bangura) and since the African Championship will be played in Libya this year they have prepared a very good team.

Impressive victory for Tunisia (I honestly thought Egypt would win it in a close game).
I wish both Egypt+Tunisia all the best in the upcoming African Championship even though there r some really tough teams that r in contention for the title including Angola and Nigeria.
